Through out the world there are people who capture and sell wild animals. They do this for their own profit. Some of these animals are endangered which therefore get sold for money. This is a 15 billion dollar business. Once these dealers and traders start they may never go back. It becomes the only way they can make money. This is because most of them never really had a clue what they wanted to do with their life and still don't but because they are making so much money it doesn't bother them. The truly sad part about this is that most of the animals in this business get abused and this abuse never stops. That is until the animal gets so used to it that is becomes aggressive and then gets put down.
Some end up going to "sanctuaries", but really they aren't being cared for like they should be. They get neglected and left to fend for themselves. This means those who are in captivity together end up fighting and may end up killing one another for survival. These animals were not meant to be in cages. They were meant to roam the open grasslands from where they came from. | While these animals get abused others are in captivity to be bred to help increase their numbers. But even these animals end up dying along the way. The stress of being violently taken away from their natural habitats, some from their mothers or babies, and gets to be to much to handle. So they end up dying before they even reach a private residence. These poor creatures have no one to turn to. They sit in their poor cages all day getting diseases and growing more scared of people every minute. I wish people would grow up and realize that what they are doing is harming these innocent animals and that they need stop, let them go and find a real job. |
